Black Johns Cabin
“Black” John Zulich was born in Trieste, Italy. He left Europe in the early part of the 20th century and arrived in Talkeetna in the early 1930s. He built this small log cabin. Locally, he got his nickname because of his dark Italian hair. He kept a beautiful vegetable garden and gold mined north near Clear Creek. He passed away in 1975 and is buried in the Talkeetna Cemetery.
After his death the building became an office, later a coffee shop. Currently it is an Air BnB
